THE MENU AT WASABI PUBLCITY

At Wasabi, full-service clients get a team. Mild service clients get one dedicated publicist, although they will benefit from cross-pitching from all team members on occasion.

Wasabi Publicity covers all the bases to spice up your media campaign.

So, what do you get specifically?

publicity services

Most of this is served to you during your launch phase. (First 4-6 weeks.)

  • Writing (one-pager, radio one-pager, pitches, media documents, and online press kit)
  • Research (media lists, contacts, and trends)
  • Key Messages (this is for media audiences)
  • Media Training (In-depth work with a professional media trainer is available at an additional cost. Wasabi provides on-the-spot media training to prep interviews as clients request.)

Wasabi's Secret Ingredients

Personalized phone calls (This is what makes the difference. To properly build a relationship with the media on your behalf, it takes 6 months to a year minimum. Just like any sales process, 3-7 exposures need to penetrate before a person "bites." The media's the same, especially since they're so busy. Consider the team you've hired at Wasabi like your sales team to the media. This is especially true for coveted media venues such as Dr. Phil or the daily talk news programs.)

Emails, Social Networking, Faxes, Web site visits, Mail (We pitch according to a media venue's preference. Today most media prefer email or being pitched through social networking, however we also fax, mail, or submit via their website.)

Technology (Daily we're told by the best in PR and news, our PressKit247 technology is unlike anything out there. Since close to 99% of media prefer online press kits, this advantage often causes a placement for our clients, plus it places them in an expert database where the media peruses for story ideas. We're told other online press kit technologies run $500 to $800/month, and that's with no pitching at all. Some charge per page and pitch to the media. PressKit247 doesn't. Plus it even has an online rolodex and document file cabinet if you need it while you're on-the-go.)

Breaking News Quick Response (Let's face it, the media is saturated today. It's important to get in front of the media with your expertise, but it's more important to be in front of them when breaking news happens. Unlike other PR firms, we have an immediate process in place that allows you to submit comments and in the same day be pitched by a team of a dozen publicists to the various news venues below. This often is the key to getting top notch coverage.)

WHAT DO YOU GET ON A DAILY BASIS?

Media Expert Network (As soon as you become a client of Wasabi's, we place you inside two expert networks frequently reviewed by 7000+ members of the media. Sometimes we're able to take quotes from you and distribute this to these members to get you extra attention from them.)

Incoming Leads and Cross-pitching (At Wasabi we can get up to 100 incoming requests for media interviews each day. Often, you'll see emails coming to you about these requests. Feel free to pass on these if they're not a fit for your goals. Further, all team members at Wasabi cross-pitch you while they're conversing with media. This is the heart of scoring great PR, so when you notice we are scoring big for another client, be sure this is helping you as well. You should always ask your PR firm about the results they've scored for other clients in the past 30, 60, and 90 days. This gives you insight to whom you can be cross-pitched.)

Breaking News (When you see breaking news you want to comment on, email Michelle three to five points you'd like to say on the matter immediately. By the way, this is the only email you need for Wasabi. This way, we can alert all members of our team rather than just one. If you just email one member of our team, we cannot repurpose your great content to more than one media strategy. Waiting for these comments from you on the other side is Michelle or a team member babysitting the leads in her absence. Remember, your "Matri' D" is Drew Gerber who you can also feel free to call with needs.)

WHAT DO YOU GET ON A MONTHLY BASIS?

Note: Mild service clients get one menu item below each month.

Strategy Meetings "The Huddle" (It is important to meet with you regularly so we can discuss news from your company and find out if you'd like us to "dig in" differently. Please keep in mind these half-hour meetings are preferably scheduled on Mondays because the team likes to conduct outreach the rest of the week. While exceptions are made, our preference is to keep meeting times from interfering with key outreach times of the day. Also, we will not necessarily come to these meetings with an agenda. Often times, we are "huddling" to listen to you to discover what's important to you and on your mind. So, come to these meetings with an agenda, and we'll listen. We recommend Full-Service clients meet with our team at least twice monthly. Mild service clients are by request only and need not exceed twice a quarter.)

Television (Our team knows how to penetrate through to the decision makers at each station. Our focus is always on national, however from time to time, we will seek local TV stations as appropriate to your campaign.)

Print Media National (Your coveted national media print venues will be placed on your media wish list, and they will receive information from us about you once a month, at least.)

Print Media Local (As you travel, our team will call local media to alert them of your presence in their city. Just send an email to Michelle.)

Radio National (We have a special list of radio stations with high circulation. You are pitched to these coveted radio spots in cross-pitching as we contact them monthly. Sometimes, we will do a special outreach as breaking news occurs.)

Radio Local (You are pitched to local radio stations across the nation every month.)

Internet Bloggers We pitch you to bloggers, so your search engine ranking is high.

Internet Search Engines (Also, being listed at PressKit247 also helps your search engine rankings. This is a great way for the media to find you, and it is an intentional part of our service to you because we know the media uses the Internet to find experts. So, when you get a call "out-of-the-blue," ... it's not. It's because we've strategized ways to have your media expertise show up powerfully to all search engine spiders.)

Internet Bylined articles (You give us the chicken scratch or completed article each month, and we'll submit it to web portals seeking editorial content. We will also repurpose this content to print magazines, newspapers, and general pitching for our team. Please be sure to make a note on your calendar to provide us content each month or each quarter, as you desire.)

Media Wish List (When your campaign is in launch phase with us - first 4-6 weeks working with Wasabi - you may develop a media wish list. This list of venues communicates your media preferences to our team. Be sure to put your coveted media outlets on this list.)

Clippings (Our team monitors print placements about you if you're a full-service client. Mild service clients may request this at an additional charge of $400 a month. To receive these clips, it sometimes takes several months. If you have a need to receive these immediately, please let us know so we can order this for you. It may be an additional cost. Also, TV and radio clippings are not included in any package. These are always billed extra because we have to order them from our vendors. Finally, we legally cannot interface with the reprint departments at media venues. Reusing clippings is between the media venue and your company. We can provide you numbers to call, but that's all we can do. Let us know if you have questions about this. As a free alternative, subscribe to Google Alerts using your name as the keywords. Also, ClipClip offers a free digital portfolio of your online clippings as well.)

Reports (Upon request. We have set up an update for you on our PressKit247 technology. Please keep in mind any additional reporting needs you require of us will cut into your outreach time. After all, we prefer our team to be on the phones for you, rather than analyzing reports.)

These are services outside your package. We can recommend fine vendors to take care of your needs. Some of these vendors will be members of our team from time to time.

Michelle's a great publicist. She knew what I needed before I even asked.
